A lot of these guys will come out and say drop a 440 in it witch is doable but I'm a fan of small blocks a 340-360 are great motors and with the right parts will run around a big block all day long (trust me ) I've put many big blocks to shame with my tiny small blocks right now I'm building my 72 rallye charger with a forged internal 340 magnum with built 2.02 (69) spec heads it's given the 440 in my other 72 a run for its money before I pulled the car apart so if you want to talk 3rd gen charger s p.m. me and we can talk good luck
