New B body leaf springs, which vendor?

Springs can be reset. They need to be in good condition.
Many years ago when I put a Dodge rear end in my 37 Ford hearse, it sat too low when loaded. I called the spring guy, on a weekend, he said bring it over to his home. There we jacked it up, removed the springs, reset them ( he did ) and put them back on. Later I added two beefy shock absorbers.

There are new springs all around on my Tukvan. It sat about one inch too low when loaded. The local spring shop added one more leaf. And I but on Bilstien shocks.

How much lighter is a 383 car compared to a 440 car?

Lots! Tall block / crank rods etc etc .. gotta be at least 20lbs
And thicker t bars / sway bar!!

How much lighter is a 383 car compared to a 440 car?

I can't say exactly, but from a bit of Googling, maybe 200+ pounds difference. 3600-ish pounds vs. 3800-ish pounds. Maybe more, because it's not just the block that's heavier, it's the heavier-duty suspension components and likely higher-end appointments in the interior that would be found on R/T's than the average 500 or standard Charger.
