New guy from Wisconsin

Hi guys,Jay here from cental WI.Been a car guy for 33 years now with mostly gm products.Always liked and intended to buy a mopar,just never worked out.Well after 25+ gm cars i said to myself this aint gonna happen again.I alway had a soft spot for the 68-70 Roadrunners and i think i found myself a good one.Needs a little work but has little to no rust.Original 383,4spd lime green.Now has a 440 with a 727.

Welcome. You'll like Mopars. Ya can't buy a cam for one for $39.95 like a SBC, but they don't break in half like a SBC will either lol

Welcome. You have made a good choice. Being GM for that long,you may have some withdrawal symptoms but they will guickly pass the more you are exposed to Mopar. Side effect's may include better sence, a need for speed. a feeling of WHY IN HELL DID I WAIT SO LONG.:yes:

No withdrawal from the gm cars as i still have 4.I did have to trade 1 of my favorites though even for the RR.Not sure why it took so long.I did look at a few and passed on over the years.One that comes to mind Dodge Challenger 440-6 pistol grip 4 spd $3200 wish i had that one now.This RR i think is a keeper and is a solid western car so no tin work.Hasnt been cut on but is kinda more of a drag car than a street car.No interior and has a 8 point cage.If i can locate the parts for the interior i will cut the cage out and bring it back to stock.Drivetrain will be left alone.I had plenty a nasty BB chevys over the years and i have say this 440 will put them to shame.I feel like im 15 again with my first car as i cant wipe the grin off every time i walk past it.
