Greetings everyone, I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum. I picked this Dodge up last spring and I am just getting around to addressing the issues it has. (electrical for one) The PO also had the torsion bars cranked up so tight that the tires had way too much negative camber. I backed the torsion bar adjusting bolts off 7 turns on each side before I could even drive it to the alignment shop. I had to replace the front wheel cylinders and adjust all of the brakes before I could drive it. Wrenchin’ isn’t new to me but MoPars are so go easy on me here… I am 72 years old and this is the first Chrysler product I have ever owned.

The car was originally a 383/4 speed but it now has a 440/auto in it. The engine has some modifications but unfortunately I don’t know the extent of them. It runs really good but I haven’t driven it much because of the electrical problems, that I am in the process of correcting now. Searching on the issues and a recommendation from a friend is what brought me to FBBO. You have a great resource here.

These pictures are from when I first looked at the car. I can’t believe I didn’t take any after I cleaned it up but if I did I can’t find them. I will take some current ones after I get the electrical finished up and can back it out of the shop.

Enough with the ramblin’ and on with the pics….

Thanks,
LockDoc

Welcome LockDoc! You have a real jewel there and have come to the right place. I own a 69 Coronet and wish mine looked like yours. Great group of guys here with helping attitudes and a ton of experiences to share. Clean her up and show us some more pictures....it's mandatory.

Welcome to the site, that's a good looking car you have there .hope you get it hammered out soon I'd like to see more of it

Welcome from Michigan, great looking car you have. Bit of a late bloomer at 72 and a first Mopar but better late than never lol.

Thanks Guys. I hope to have it running in the next couple of days. I need to get the center connector for the engine side of the bulkhead connector. It was gone and the wires were put together with butt connectors and a hole drilled in the firewall for them to pass through. I am also going to do the headlight relay upgrade while I'm at it. I have upgraded a couple of my other rides with it and liking the results....

Greetings from Carroll. You are in the right place. Nice car , good luck , we love pictures. Thanks. Dave

Welcome. Take care on the bulkhead area. I use a battery cut-off from West Marine and keep an extinguisher handy. Love that Bee!

Cool car. Welcome, and enjoy that old mope.

Welcome - car looks great! I was just recently blasting down the highway having some fun with a car very similar to yours - as a matter of fact, it was Dennis H's car!

If your under dash electrical and bulkhead connectors are a mess, then maybe buying a new one may be worth considering. The best ones are by a company called M&H, and you can get them through Year One. If you wait for a 30% off sale you can get it for a decent price. Doing this may save you a lot of headaches, investigation, repairs, head scratching, etc. It may even save you a fire in the future, as the insulation gets old and cracks. If you can afford it, replacing the under dash harness is highly recommended.

Regardless of what you do, I wish you the best of luck and enjoyment with your new project!

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

Dennis, Thanks for the tip on the cut off switch. I think it would be a good investment. I do have an extinguisher in the car.

Thanks, I will check on the wire harness & components to see what they have to offer. I wouldn't mind doing that.
