Hi all, I joined this group in preparation for my new project. I'm in the middle getting a 1968 Coronet 440 project car and It should be here in a few weeks.I will be needing lots of guidance and obviously parts lol. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and learning all about B bodys. Please bare with me as this will be my first classic Mopar. I do currently own a 1969 Buick Riviera as well and I'm a member of V8Buick.com which is an amazing site and group of people!

Where in Ontario Bob?..and I see you responded to 3whites 1969 hood trim filler piece advert. That lip is ONLY for 1969 hood to grill gap, not 68...

I'm in Wasaga Beach. Yes, you're right but I'm going to swap the front grill on my 68 to the 69 style. I found a 69 grill and bezels out in Saskatchewan that I'm going to buy, now I just need the hood filler trim and the lower grill support. Well from what I've researched that's all I need to make the swap. If I'm wrong and need other parts please let me know!

Okay, not sure the headlight buckets are the same on '68 fenders but I'm sure others will chime in. And yes the lower grill support is different '68 to '69 as well.

Yeh, not sure on the head light buckets either? I've read that with a bit of modifications/relocation they can work. I'll definitely need the lower grill support for sure. You're only an hour tops from me. What do you have, a 70 super bee?

I have a '68 lower in spares, but no '69. While you're getting that hood lip from 3white Steve, he probably has a lower support as well so ask!

My Bee is a '69 coupe, stable mate to a few others..

Welcome to FBBO from near St. Thomas, Ontario. Good luck with your 1968 Coronet project. As you have already found out, there is a lot of help and knowledge on this site. I have a 1967 Coronet R/T and bought a 1969 Super Bee new, that I no longer have.

Thank you. Don't know too much about it so far. I was told it was originally a basic 1968 440 318 car, bucket seats, console shift, manual steering, manual brakes. The console is gone, buckets have been swapped, it's now a column shift. No motor or trans, missing fender tag (that sucks). It was definitely used hard but it's in over all good shape. Needs your typical mopar stuff, rear quarters, rockers (one for sure) rear outer wheel houses, trunk drop offs/extensions and a few tiny hole patches, one in the floor pan and one in the trunk. I seen this car for sale in the summer time, I msg the seller a few times but couldn't commit to the deal at the time. A few days later his ad was gone and I missed out. Now months later I'm still looking around for a 68 Coronet and I found our old emails. I took a chance and asked him if he still had the car. He did, the guy who was supposed to buy it never showed up and the seller didn't bother relisting it. We talked back and forth and all was good. I gave him a deposit to hold it while I made arrangements for a friend out his way to go look at it for me. That was done a few days ago so now we got a solid deal. My shipper is heading out that way in a few weeks to pick it up for me. Then that's when the real fun starts!:thumbsup:

Thank you very much! I've always wanted a 68 Coronet since I wasa kid. I didn't care what trim level it was or if it was a complete numbers matching car, I just knew one day I'd have one.
