Hello! New member from So Cal! Here is my current project hoping to get some answers that I have searched for and only found partial answers. My son and I are turning what was a straight drag car into more of a street/strip car. We have done a lot so far however alternator wiring is giving us a run for our money with all factory wiring removed and only flip switches inside the car. The car had no alternator as of last week so I bought the Mancini kit with bracket that included a Denso 210-0138 which is a 120amps. I am trying to keep power kill switch at the rear bumper and still run an alternator. I have run a 6awg wire from alt battery output to power kill switch with a 175amp mega fuse between the alt and the switch. This is supp to be a one wire alternator but does have the two small terminals studs. I am not getting any charging to the batteries and I do not have any factory wiring if I need to use the blue and green wires from a later model voltage regulator (square one). Can anyone tell me the best way to wire this thing so I can still use the power kill switch which will pass tech inspection. I have relays and insulated terminal blocks ordered from mad electrical but most diagrams are for factory wiring. Any held would be greatly appreciated. Current setup is a 440 13.5:1 comp, Indy aluminum heads, full roller valve train, .700 lift cam, Indy intake, 995 King Demon, 727 5500 stall etc.

Run the 6awg wire from alt battery output to the battery and brake the circuit with a relay power from the kill switch.

What kind of distributor system are you running? You should make sure that your alt has the internal voltage reg so you know for sure .I rewired my engine compartment so I could start my car with a remote starter connected to the starter relay because I stripped out all the wiring for my restoration ,this way I can still fire it up when I need to.The way I wired mine is green and blue wire to the voltage reg and then the alt power output to the battery. The blue wire also runs to the ignition and to engine ballast and out to Ecm.I supposed you could run the blue wire through your switch (like ignition switch)to accomplish the same thing in the same manner if you are going the external regulator route.I'd set up my switch to kill the alternator circuit instead of the battery circuit . I hope this helps

Billet MSD Distributor (No Vac) and MSD 6APlus. Thanks Mopar 3B and Michael789! The Denso alternator says it is internally regulated however I believe I am going to need to hook up 70 and later voltage regulator and run the green and blue wires. I really like the idea of the remote starter. I don't have the headlights in yet so I will be using a terminal block to power dual fans on the be-cool radiator and the headlights. Battery is trunk mounted and kill switch is in the bumper IMG_1831.jpg

I have a color version of the 68 B-Body wiring schematic/diagram
should be close for under-hood stuff anyway

here's a few safety cut of switch diagrams also, depends on what it is you actually need
