Hi,

I am a bit late doing this, but I’ll add it anyway. My name is Don, I picked up a 65 Coronet wagon last summer. Came with a slant 6, swapping a 360 and 518 tranny.

Lots to learn as I haven’t done one before. Looking forward to the adventure.

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario, Don. That is a great looking '65 Coronet wagon. Thanks for your pictures. A 360 is a nice upgrade over the slant 6. The 518 is not an easy swap into these cars, however, because of the tight transmission tunnel. The O/D chunk on the trans is quite bulky, and pretty well lines up with where the torsion bar crossmember is located. Some surgery will be required there.
