Two RockAuto replacement for 8 3/4”#2460668 originals from the rear of a ‘65 Chrysler.
There is a huge difference between internal spring strength. As seen in the picture the upper cylinder can be pressed in easily and the bottom spring pressure is almost pushing the pistons out of the rubber seals.
Another fact is that the top cylinder was difficult to push in, pistons dragging? The bottom was very easy.
Maybe just pull them apart for a visual?
Certainly I don’t want to start out with a problem.
