Hi,
Sort of new to the site, been trolling here for awhile. I finally made a deal on a 68 GTX project, should pick it up this weekend if everything works out. Super excited! First big block car, only had A bodies and Lil Red Express before.
I'm very familiar with first gen Camaros, hence my screen name. With those cars there is a ton of shared data and documentation on what came from the factory, paint colors and shades, ect. "Correctness". I am a fan of keeping good cars original, meaning a lot of born with parts. I have a few questions if you don't mind:
- What reseller of parts do you guys like? I see Classic Industries has a huge catalog but I have very little good things to say about OER.
- Is there any books on the car that detail part numbers, paint colors and shades, what came from the factory, anaolmolies, etc? In the Camaro world there are McNiesh books, CRG, and AIM (assembly manual). The AIM is a must. I would like to find something like that for Plymouth B body. This was especially helpful getting the right fastners in the right spots, also getting fastners from AMK by part number. Lots of Chrylser parts in there but i have no idea how to match them up.
TIA - Garth
