Hi, Everybody- Found this awesome site and decided to join. I'm building a '69 Road Runner, pretty modified (disc brakes, 5spd stick, EFI, beefed up suspension, etc.). She's not numbers-matching or with any rare options, so I'm not ruining a museum piece or anything...

I live in the LA area and am looking for a motor builder who knows 440's inside and out. My goal is around 550HP and plenty of torque. Not going supercharger/turbo, etc., just raw power. They would need to be a reputable shop and not just a guy out of his garage (not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that I got burned big-time with an earlier shop I was dealing with and will need to go with an established shop with solid references to give me some peace of mind).

Thanks, everybody and excited to be part of this site.

Here ya go. The first pic is where she started. I didn't paint it that color (PUKE). The stock color was buttercup yellow.

Next pic is after media blasting. Pretty banged up.

Third and fourth pics are current state. That blue is the new color, no pearl or flake, just wanted a solid blue. The old shop I had it at really screwed things up, some horrible work and shady business. My new shop is redoing the whole back end. A few problems in the front half, but I'm just going to live with it (for now).

We're waiting to finish up the tubbing before we paint the rest of the car. Also going to size and fit the suspension.

Thanks, rrman. My buddy at D'Angelo's Automotive Paint hooked me up. We mixed a custom color at the shop.
