No transmission engine start

I suppose engines don’t vibrate and therefore everything will remain in its place.

It’s not something I would do, why take a chance. Take a few minutes and unbolt the clutch/pressure plate and you’ll have no worries. Kinda like wearing a seatbelt!

When things that do vibrate, does a bolt through the parts keep them in place? Keep in mind that it's not the bolt keeping them in place but the clamping force provided by the bolt acting on the two surfaces. Kinda like the clamping force the pressure plate provides to the disc.
