NOT MINE 69 GTX

GTX with a 120mph speedo?
Watch out should be 150mph speedo

Check body stamped numbers if it is the real deal

Carsten

If that is the real deal GTX you could trailer that car to Phoenix and get 25K for it all day long.

I have that debate with another guy about speedo. his has the 120 mph and he claims that he bought new that way? I always thought the the 150 were GTX. Can anyone shed some light on that?

From http://www.performancecargraphics.com/Dash_Stuff/B-body_Standard_ID.htm

2. Very early 1968 (built in the period from August through about early September of 1967) GTX and Coronet R/T cars (all with 150 mph speedometer) had zeroes after each lens white numeral. These lenses are very difficult to read, due to the crowding.
3. Only GTX and Coronet R/T got 150 speedos, which is true for each year 1968-70.
