I ordered 2 NEW front floor pans L and R for my 66 Satellite from C2C Fabrication.
http://c2cfabrication.com/store/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=26&products_id=8177

These are the photos from their site and very similar to the other floor pans from AMD and Sherman.

And this is what I received. :angryfire: They look like they have been hacked by a 5 year old...These must be a mistake...right????
Has anyone else dealt with this company before???? These don't look anything like they should!!!!

You have to remember that these companys will sell you a product that will fit 66 to 70 mopars...I guess they figure you can work it out...Doesn,t our sponsor AMD make these also??Ar least if you use a sponsors product they will be more likely to stand by their product...

Send it back, don't try to make that pile fit.Spend the extra money and order from AMD.I use alot of their stuff they sell, with no problems.

I agree. all my panels came from a.m.d. and i was not dissapointed. pricey but top notch quality.

I agree, send that 9th grade art project gone bad back to where it came from. Spend the extra money and get a decent set from AMD.

Oh, those are horrible!!!

Looks like someone found a stockpile of early-80's repo floorpans and is trying to make money off them...send that crap back ASAP!

Those are amazing! Those were obviously fabbed by someone that has never seen a vintage rusty floorpan! Prop I think we need to invite those guys up to the rustbelt and show them how well there part would work!

I agree. i just bought sherman panels for my satellite and wish i bought the amd. if you have to repair the part of the floor that is under the seat, there is no repair panel for that. but if you buy the AMD floor pan, it goes all the way to the rear footwell. it will save you time and $$ later.

I'll be on the phone with them 1st thing Monday to set up the return. I just hope they won't try to pull a U SHIP BACK charge on me since I already paid $20 shipping and hate to be out of $40 for nothing!

The only issue with the AMD is that my floors are solid except for the footwell and the AMD covers the entire half of floor which I don't want to rip up. I might end up having to use the Sherman pan since that is the only area I need to replace and they are the only one that makes the front.

You really only need to cut off what you need. You don't have to use the whole panel.Sherman is only a 45minute drive for me to pick up parts.AMD is in GA and shipping is expensive, but you get what you pay for.I wouldn't walk out of my yard for sherman junk. This is a pic of the same situation you are in.This a AMD panel cut down to fit the area cut out.Whan completely finished it will look factory. It went in just like a factory piece except were it was sectioned. You get what you pay for period.

That almost looks like someone ordered it, hacked it up, and sent it back. I replaced the driver side in my 65 coronet 9yrs ago with a Sherman peice and it went pretty well, don't know how they are now. Everyone talks up AMD and their stuff looks really good. I would send those turds back.

How are you getting those welds ground down so smoothly without gouging the sheet metal on either side?

i bought partial front floor pans from year one for a 66 coronet last year and they were a perfect fit , like a puzzle piece.

23years of trial and error:eusa_wall: Good welding skills helps, then I try to stay on the weld head when grinding.I use a real course grit grinding disc 24grit to nock the head down quick. Then 80 grit flapper to blend and 180 or 150 da to finish.Start with 3"24 grit grinding disc (I like3m purple grinding disc),then move up to a 4"80grit flapper wheel, and then to150 or 180 da.

I,ll bet year one gets theirs from AMD!!Just like they get all their interior from Legendary!

Not intending to hijack, but thanks. I have the grinder wheel and just bought an 80 and a 100 grit flap. They are the kind that the flappers are overlapped around the edge and lay flat, not the 90 deg to the shaft style. Sounds like I might be on the right track!

BTW, I think I have those same floor pans. They came with the 73 I just bought. I thought the were weird with the cut out slots in the bend areas.
I think I can use just the inside areas for where mine is rusted, so I don't have to deal with those funny areas.
