Watching eat my dust on the movie channel right now

I watched this one on New Years Eve. It was ok, but the interesting thing was that it was in color - 1936. It was the second movie filmed in color and the first movie filmed outdoors in color. Henry Fonda and Fred MacMurray were the stars.

Watched on YouTube for the first time and it was entertaining in many ways.

I'm watching In Line of Fire with Clint Eastwood as a secret service agent.

It was nominated for a lot of awards.

Last Monday was my monthly classic movie watching day with my boys. Saw the 1944 movie Gaslight starring Ingrid Bergman. She won the Oscar for that picture.
It reminds me how Hollywood used to make great movies without special effects and CGI.

I like watching old black and white '30's and '40's movies to see the old cars in them. I spotted a real find in an old William Powell movie. It was a 1930 Cord L29 Town Car! It was very elegant. With front wheel drive, it looked so low and long. I wonder if it survived WWII scrap drives.

I watched Omega Man, the original with Charlton Heston. Mostly I skipped around. It came out in 1971 while the society was changing with hippies. It must have been sponsored by Ford because Heston was driving a convertible LTD then a 'vert '70 Mustang. The was some other Ford too. According to the calendar in the dealership the world ended on March, 1975.

When it was remade, I think Mr. Slappy, Happy Will Smith was driving a Shelby Mustang.

You guy's wives might like it. Heston doesn't wear a shirt very often.
