Older movies you watched lately.....?

Me too!
I have a movie on my dvr called "Topper Returns". A ghost movie with good special effects, for the thirties. Topper drives a Mercedes 540K special roadster. (Actually his chauffeur does, Eddie Rochester Anderson,
from Jack Benny's show).
This thing is driven thru wooden barrels, blockaded roads, and several other hazards, very cringe-worthy.
( by the way, a restored version of this same car sold a few years back.... for Eleven million dollars).

And I have a Hot Wheels of the Phantom Corsair...... somewhere.
The original "Topper" car was built on a 1936 Buick Roadmaster chassis.

Boy howdy what a great western. It's up there with the best.

Watched Galaxy of Terror. I'd heard of it before but never seen it. It's a low rent Alien knock off. The cast and sets are pretty good but the rest is goofy. There is a hot blonde officer that gets raped by a giant caterpillar. I guess that actress is a famous "Scream Queen" fixture.

Quicksand with Michael Keaton. 2003. So far it's great. Free on Roku.

I like everything Keaton has been in.

Yesterday I took some me time after working 7 days.

I watched Once Upon a Time in the West. The “un-cut” version, I think 164 minutes.

This movie is often cited as one of the best ever made. I never really understood that praise, and I think it’s because I didn’t realize the version I had watched before had 20 minutes cut from it.

The full version makes a lot more sense.

I thought that Charles Bronson did a pretty good job of replacing Clint Eastwood, who declined the role of 'Harmonica'.

I think all of the main characters were great, I just feel that the different parts of the story didn’t really join together like they should have.

Watching WOLF with Jack Nicolson and Michelle Pfeiffer. Now that M.P. is a little older she's a dead ringer for my sister. Sis is only 5'1" but the face and hair are the same. My sis may be a little bustier.

That "stone cold" Michelle Pfeifer, that "white gold"?

I watched 'Armageddon' yesterday, been a while
1993, Bruce Willis flick, Ben Afleck (not my favorire) & Liv Tyler
a bunch of other recognizable actors, Billy Bob Thornton
(sad what he's going thru now) the oil crew was a riot...
It's about a bunch of offshore roughnecks, Bruce is the boss
2 shuttles going to space, intercept/land on an asteroid after going around the moon
to drill an asteroid to save the earth, with a nuke down the hole...

it wasn't bad, I thought it was a lot cheesier that it actually was...

Enjoy

I watched this one over the weekend. It was good.

I watched this one tonight. Meh, but Jill Ireland was easy on the eyes - and would have been even better in the uncensored version.
