ON a 67 Coronet Hardtop, did the front seats have a bumper for the seatback?

I am not sure if they ever had them at all? But I'm sick of the 'expensive' metal on metal bouncing sound I hear every time one of my non classic car owning friends or family get in the back and pull the front seatback towards them.

I have been looking at the small 'rest' the seatback settles on, and trying to think that Ma Mopar must have noticed this too and used rubber to solve the issue!

Is this the case, and my car is missing them on BOTH front seats or is this how Ma Mopar wanted it?
