one yellow wire and cant figure out

Awesome. Thanks. Will be hooking all together tomorrow if weather permits,then just put in new sending unit, rubber, vent lines, hang tank and fire up.

That is correct, one of the pictures linked shows the timer/relay and its related harness, including the connector the lamp lead plugs into (noted by "to lamp");

No, not really, nothing to do with a lights on buzzer, big differences between ’69 b-body dash wiring and ’71-74. No key in ignition buzzers until ’70, combined horn relay/key buzzer fuse box mounting started in ’71 for the b-body. The black wire is not a power lead, it is a ground via the key in ign. switch micro switch, via the left door jamb switch.

the yellow wire coming from the small canister( timer) is the plugging into the female receptical with the 2 yellow wires??? , if so, no wonder mine doesnt work, plugged in to the accessory feed on the 3 outlet ( red in your pic, but yellow in my car.

The yellow three-way female bullet connector tap is the key-switched “accessory” tap. NOT the correct location to connect the timer/relay harness to. Will not have power when car is off. Needs to connect to the red “Battery”, un-switched, three-way tap, as pictured to function correctly. The single yellow with black tracer, male bullet connector, is the door switch circuit, connects to a single female bullet connector with two yellow with black tracer wires coming from the main dash harness.

There is a total of three, three-way female power taps on that dash harness, molded yellow (key-switched), red (battery, un-switched), and orange (dash illumination). Color coded for a reason.
