Noticing the primer on the vinyl sleeve covers on the wire body wire holder that came on the panels from AMD is cracking and falling off. Looking at the original ones it appears to be a liquid coating on the holders that is more flexible and the paint is not cracking . What do you do with the ones from AMD to keep the paint on them or do u replace them with a coating like the original? Any advice appreciated. Thanks

I use electrical potting compound. Keep away from plastic dip it will crack later on.

Which of these 3 types do you prefer?

The types of potting material that you can choose from are:

  • Epoxy Potting Compounds
  • Polyurethane Potting Compounds
  • Silicone Potting Compounds

I don’t have any experience with any potting compound but it seems interesting, @HALIFAXHOPS , for this here application and valve covers too.

Black Rubberized Undercoating - apply with a brush.
