Im looking into buying a new paint spray gun. Just want to know if anyone has some recomendations for me. Iv been looking at a Devilbis starting line kit which comes with a full size gun & a touch up gun in a set. Is this a good choice or would you recomend something else. I really dont know what to look for in choosing a quality gun,so your help will be appreciated.

Never shot with the Devilbiss Starting Line, but I currently have a Devilbiss Finish Line gun. Totally happy with it. I also have a Sharpe gun I use for sealer/primer, works well. I had Anest Iwata gun that I payed a fortune for. Sprayed real well, but consumable parts were through the roof expensive. Had a Binks for a while, but wasn't pleased at all with it. I always seem to come back to Devilbiss...parts are easy to come by, easy to set up, maintain and clean ...........to me, it's a good gun all around.

Good luck what ever route you go.

You will quickly our grow the starting lineup guns although for primer they are ok. The Tekna is a little less than the Finish Line I think and works nice.

I just picked up a devilbiss finishline FLG4, 1.5 tip with the dekups system for the guys at work, nice gun.

I might need one of these at home Lol!

At home I have my old trusty JLG body devilbiss, 1.8 tip with a quart siphon cup, I just love that old work horse.

I also have a finishline with a gravity quart cup that I fit with a 2.2 tip that I use for polyester primer only.

Then I have a pair of sharpe titanium/milinium, z banger G force 2000 ultra wizzy such and such's at home for base/clear.

I'm a big fan of decent quality devilbiss guns, I also like me some sharpe guns too.

Actually I really like the old Sharpe 775, that's a classic gun right there and that sumbich flat out works.

nobody uses it anymore, that sucker's a good gun though.

Fat hook, ugly sumbich, but I personally really like the fat grip of these guns.

The Tekna is a Devilbiss FYI.. ( priced in between) using the dekups systems with as well... lot easier than all that cleaning !

I own a Tekna copper and love it!It takes a little getting used to and tuning. It sprays metallics awsome, fan pattern of almost sixteen inches.I was always partial to Sata for many years, but almost converted to all Tekna now.I will stepping up to the new tekna black, wich is waterborne ready.

Forgot to mention the D-cups are the only way to go.Even for the DIY/weekend warrior.Less clean up and less cleaning chemicals.

I use Iwata spray guns now. Their pretty spendy, but I do it for a living. I used to use SATA's but I switched a few years ago.
Devilbiss has some good guns out there, but I haven't used them in years.

My Iwata's I spray with are LPH 400's

Thanks for the info guys, really helpful. Iv decided to go with the Devilbis Finish Line. It looks like a good overall, quality gun for a decent price. Now back to trying to decide on a color for the 70 Bee. My twin girls want me to go with PINK. Panther Pink is not bad but they are partial to Barbie Pink.

I have one and I like it.

Nice part about the finishline is you can fit it with a wide range of fluid nozzles without changing needles or air caps.

Mine is now a dedicated heavyt shooter with a 2.2 tip (polyester primers)
