I highly enjoyed Mick Fleetwood and Friends Celebrate the Music of Peter Green concert. I was unaware of the deep blues beginnings of one of my favorite bands. Sadly, all the stars from the 60s are getting old and one can criticize them for this and that. But this concert had the intended effect on me by first educating me on how the band began abd second by causing me to appreciate the music and sad life if Peter Green. My favorites are Oh Well and Man of the World. I purchased the blue ray and 2 CD set.

That would be a dandy. Thanks

I remember reading the book of Fleetwood Mac by Mick Fleetwood and I quote Mick, "Peter Greenwood was God". Mick said at the time Peter saved the band from certain death for sure. Thanks, I want to hear it......

Interesting concept that the rhythm section was the band leadership but the front person(s) were allowed to set the direction.

Peter Green era
Bob Welch era
Buckingham/Nicks era

All very different

Sounds like a good collection, but I have all that old music on vinyl. :) This one is really great:

I didn't know he had died last year!

Mick said they barely got finished with that show and England went on lockdown the very next day. A day later and who knows whether they would have got it done. Lucky for us they did.

Peter Green suffered from schizophrenia. He died in his sleep on the island he lived on.

I know he played 2nd guitar but I'm a fan of Danny Kirwan. Danny was young when he joined the band and Peter took him under his wing. They had a mutual respect for each other and Danny kept the band focused on Blues after Peter left. Sadly, Danny had a bad LSD trip and developed mental issues so Mick had to fire him. I don't think Danny gets the credit he deserves, playing in the shadows of Peter and later Bob.

Local community radio station played 2 hours of Peter Green the day after he died.

Did the same with Tom Petty including deep cuts, and just did the same for Tom T Hall.
