This was the start of the 1st of the 3 paint jobs my dad had on his 1969 Bee, the following repaints were the results of reckless driving

Do you remember him what’s the story?
I remember seeing his ads in magazines over 40 years ago. Maybe it was in the old Mopar Muscle Club International newsletters. One summer, our family was in Tom's River, NJ as part of a vacation. After that trip, I saw another ad for Ed's, and only then, I noticed that his place was located in Tom's River, NJ! Doh! If I had realized that previous to our trip, I'd have made a point to stop in when we were there. As I remember, Ed specialized in oil pans (among other things) at that time.

As well as that "for 340s Only' ad, I remember later they read "For 340/360s Only". His oil pans were legendary in nascar, he sold that division to Mr. Gasket. If you remember the SLP Firehawk Firebirds that went so fast in the last 90s (also SLP Camaros), the SLP (Street Legal Performance) was Ed Hamburger's company too. It still exists but is now called Specialty Vehicle Engineering.
