Good afternoon to everybody, I’m going through my wiring, trying to find why my tail lights are not working with my light switch. I find that my B2 pole on the light switch is not getting any power. I was under my dash and found this pink wire Which is not attached to anything. It has 12v with the engine running.

I have a wiring diagram and I see that there’s a pink wire to my flashers, and that’s plugged in and I have a pink wire to my brake light switch and that’s plugged in. I do not have a glove box light and I know that has a pink wire to it as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Again, I’m trying to track down why I have no tail lights in the evening with my light switch on. I have put in two new light switches and that hasn’t solved any problem because again I have no power to that B2 pole. Thank you all.

Pink and white under the dash are usually going to the brake light switch. But then again there are a few pink wires.

Pink seem to be the color used for all the accessory lighting - map, cigar, glove box, ignition, etc.

Doesn't look like a factory end on it either.
Just got mine out today.
I'll take a look at my schematic and I can look at my car as well.

Actually for batt source (fused). Lighting if dimmer controlled uses to be orange, but before become orange, arrives pink to the lights switch.

Sure map, glovebox, cigar lighter (not its light) will get pink. Ignition courtesy light is yellow, BUT the time delay flasher gets pink along with some others.

The B2 pole on lights switch should get a fused battery source which should be indeed pink too. This wire will feed parking lights and also the dimmer wheel (maybe in 66/67 the 240v transformer? Dunno).

However that pink wire seems to be too thin to feed the lights switch.… what gauge is? 14? 16?

Looks like 16 gauge wire.

Yes the cigar lighter works and has a pink and red wire. I don't have a glovebox light so it may just be an extra wire and a prior Owner may have changed the connector.

Thanks Don. The tailights are not working with the light switch on. Just to check my wiring, last week I took alligator clips and jumped the trunk light wire to the taillight wires by removing the resistance wire, and my tailights worked. First time I saw those taillights on. But the power to the light switch B2 has no power. Maybe I just go to the wire connector on the fire wall, check wire connector first, then continue inside. Yesterday I checked the fuse box, all have power except the tailight fuse. Checked the fuse in the fuse-wire connector and I have power and good fuse. I do not have power to the footwell taillight plug and that is connected to the B2 terminal on the lightswitch.

Here are some pics of my dash wiring.

I have taken both schematic drawings into paint and colored everything that is pink under the dash. from start to finish. Right click and save these to your computer. For problems in the tail lights check into the plug behind the driver side kick panel as that is where your rear harness plugs in. You should have a Dark Green wire there and that is your tail light power. These are for a 1966 but the 67 shows the same wires. I double checked. I would look into the kick panel plug Its top left 8 pin plug in the picture on the left.

1.There is a pink and a red on the cigar lighter.
2.There is a pink in the glove box light
3.There is a pink that goes to the gauge cluster round connector.

I don’t completely trust on diagrams from MyMopar.
I agree but this is a start for trouble shooting. I myself would check the connector in the kick panel and make sure it has power to and from the connector first.

I would drop the fuse box down and check out the back side. I have seen corrosion there

Haven't looked at the car yet.
But my 66 schematic does show a pink off the 2nd fuse on the block which goes to the lightswitch.
It's fed by a RED-Trace wire which should be battery power (unswitched)

I still have no power to the kick panel

I have the pink/red wire to my cigar lighter, which works. I have the pink wire for the glove box, which has power but I don't have a glove box light . I believe the pink wire with the round connector is what I am looking to connect. You say it connects to the gauge cluster? I will take another look at it. I have saved your diagram. Thank you.
