Pitman arm nut size?

I need to remove my pitman arm but can't seem to find the right size socket does anyone know the nut size?

It is for a 65 Coronet w/ manual steering

My 63 is 1 5/16" if that helps...

I think the actual size is 1 9/32, or even 1 19/64. I looked all over for the correct socket, but never found one. I use a 1 5/16 too - works but is a little sloppy.

The 1 19/64 is the measurement I came up with my digital caliper. But hopefully the 1 5/16 works because I am sure they don't make a 1 19/64 socket

An 1 1/4 just too small and the 1 5/16 seems to work best, but hey, try a metric socket and see if that helps, lol!

I thought go that also but it the conversion was something like 32.50mm. I am sure I would have no use ever again for that size of mm socket.

I bought a 1 5/16 socket today but couldn't budge the nut. Guess I will need a bigger/longer breaker bar.

Air compressor is down at this time so have to use the 500lbs bench press muscles to bust it loose. I was putting all I had behind it but it wasn't budging looks like I better hit the gym. This is the last obsticle I have to over come before I can hit the track.

Put a little heat on the nut... not too much to cook the seals in the pump... the lock washer may be bound up also....

Get a pipe and put it over your cheater bar, it will obey!!

I have had one on a truck that wouldn't budge and with heat it came off and the pump was barely a core.... broke a 3/4" breaker bar on it... they can be tough on a northern car.
