Hello! I am a few days away from installing the interior in my ‘74 Charger, and I’m finishing up all of the insulation. My question is, should I use heavy plastic, or the “moving blanket” type of insulation on the doors before the door panels? My car was gutted when I started the restoration, so I don’t know what was used originally. Thank you!

I like the plastic. I cut mine to just fit inside of the panel perimeter, taped it on the door and marked all the necessary holes, removed the plastic and punched out all the required holes. 3M weatherstrip adhesive works well to retain the plastic. My 65 had slots along the bottom and the plastic fit into that slot to redirect any water to the interior of the door so it could drain out the door drains. The OEM used a type of caulk to retain the plastic.

There are vendors that do sell the pre cut plastic front and back like Mega Parts

So a quick question is how much is needed to do a 68-70 b body inside minus a console? TIA
One box is 36 sqaure feet I covered the floor and any access hole in the doors. I've seen people put it on th eroof as well. The more coverage you install the quieter it is. I did my 67 Jeep pickup. Didn't do th ecieling or the vertical at the back of the cab. the results were amazing as this thing is pretty crude.
