Pool noodle uses for car and shop

Fun with pool noodles!

If you are over 5' tall, you've probably almost scalped yourself on the hood safety catch.

A hunk of pool noodle does the trick...

And storage is easy... I just toss it in front of the radiator so it's always there when I need it. This one has been riding around in there for a few years now.

I’ve been using pipe insulation I have laying around. Pool noodle might be a little beefier

do pool noodles shrink in the pool?

Great minds think alike, I was going to go get a couple to lay my hood on upside down for taking it apart, then I spotted the big sheets of bubble wrap from AMD parts, so I rolled them up instead. Mission to Wally World aborted.

Since this seems like “pool noodles in places other than pools ,” pool noodles also work great in place of bubble wrap when shipping stuff

I used some pipe insulation on a 3/4" bar across the rear side window of my work van ...to secure a small buddy step-ladder in place with a bungy cord. Over the years the pipe insulation has shed some of its innards and is now stuck to the pipe. I bought a couple of pool noodles a few months ago for filler insulation in between the top of a sliding door and the ceiling framework in my lounge room....however it was slightly to big.

So now I will use a section of pool noodle to see if it works in my van to hold the step ladder in place. :) Anti-vibration and security.

People use them on the long edge of lift off hoods so they can just put them on the floor and lean them against the wall.

:xscuseless:

Had a chance to install some pool noodle this afternoon....cleared out some stuff first. The pipe insulation has left a mess for later.
