It has been awhile since I bought fuel lines but there used to be a few companies that made fuel lines, trans cooler lines, brake lines etc,
Fine Lines, Inline Tube. I'm sure there were others, I just don't recall. Maybe one of those companies tooled up to make the P/S coolers. They aren't complicated.

Glen Ray Radiators.

Unless you are track racing where there are many bends, why would you need a pump cooler? Just more parts to fail &/or places to leak.

If you are a drag racer that has skinny front tires and don't turn corners often, you'll probably never need one.

Things will be different.

Mopar only added the PS cooler to cars with 3.90 and higher rear end gears. I have a 71 Cuda, originally 383, 4 speed with 3.90's and it has a PS cooler.

i have 3.91 gears in my charger, but i don't have a power steering cooler.
the car came with 3.23's from the factory.
i also have the spool valve in the saginaw box shimmed a bunch to lower the assist.
how can i tell if i need a cooler ?
measure the reservoir can on the pump with an infrared temperature gun ? if so, what should the can on the pump read ?
:drinks:

You don't have a PS cooler because it came from the factory with 3.23's. My 68 Road Runner had 323's and no PS cooler. Only if you ordered the car with 3.91's did it come with PS cooler.

What is the correlation between taller rear gears and needing to cool your power steering fluid? What am I missing?

The cooler got added if the gear ratio was 3:54:1 (Dana 60) and higher 3:55:1 (8-3/4") and greater......my RS23V0A****** with the Super track pack option has the Dana 60 and 4.10 gears from factory.......

The cooler was part of any of the performance axle packages in 3.54, 3.55, 3.91, 4.10 ratios - Dana 60 or 8.75. Also part of the packages was a 26 inch radiator with shroud and clutch fan.

so a 69 Hemi Roadrunner wirh a Dana 410 should have the cooler is that right

Why show pix of the cars????.....they have nothing to do with the PS oil cooler Installation......why not show a pix of the pump and cooler installation???.......although the pix of the green bush behind the pix of the red car, promotes a degree of coolness....don't you think so???....just my thoughts......
