Has anyone done a power window conversion on a 65 b-body??? Do you have to modify the regulators??? I know the motors are the same for many years but is there a better year to use??? Thanks, Jim

Check a1electric. They show for 66 up though. Their kit includes regulators and are a breeze to install. Reliable for ten years.

the 65 power motors are year specific. i got the factory power units in mine and had one fun time locating a motor. at that time ,there were no repop/recond units or conversion kits for that year. if you find something please post it.

Got a flyer from years ago from Nu-relics.com . . . they don't list 65 - shows different years based on the car.

Might want to contact them and see if they have anything in the works ??

Just a thought . . .

Thank You to all of you for the input. Jim ... I am going to try the universal route.. the sliding one for the front and the handle turners for the back.

hey jim496, I realize this is a 4-year old post. Would you please share with me pictures of your front door to a-pillar jamb and your rear door to b-pillar jamb, if your car is 4-door? I have a complete power window system out of a 4-door but when I removed them from a parts car 20 years ago, I wasn't wise enough to make a paper template of the hole diameters or locations on both the door and the jamb for the black plastic sleeve tubes that install in the front jamb and the cad plated steel sleeve tubes that install in the rear jamb. ANYTHING you can shoot and send would be worth a six pack of your favorite beer to me. Not joking. Will PayPal you the money or send a check. Thanks in advance.
