I can do it with two "L" rods. Some have it some don't. It's not witchcraft, it has to do with magnetism and energy more than anything. I've done it and handed them to someone else and nothing happens for them. I've found some who can do it also. You don't know unless you try it.



When I built my last house, I made a set of L rods out of copper romex wire. Went for a walk around the site where the house was to be built and I had good results right where the well would fit in with everything else going on. The well driller came and I didn't tell him where I had already found this location. He came up with the same spot. When he set up and started drilling, water was struck at 30 ft. Went down to 60 ft and hit water again but it was sandy and wouldn't clear up. So he went on down to 90 ft and hit water again. Finished the hole at 120 ft for a reserve. He installed 90 ft of well casing because of the sand at 60 ft.

The next day he came back with his pump, checked the water level and it was 15 ft from the top of the casing. Set his pump up and started it, the level went down one inch and stayed there for four hours. So it ended up being a perfect well. Plus this was on top of a hill, one of the higher elevations in the immediate area.

I've also used them for finding underground wires and pipes many times.

I worked with an old timer, back in the day. First time I saw him do it, I thought he was F ing with me. He was within a foot, every time! Hope all is well.

I'm having a new well drilled tomorrow and I couldn't locate a water douser to help locate a good place to drill, So they are drilling based on geographical data. I feel like they are drilling blind. I'm on the hook for the cost of the hole whether they hit water or not. So any prayers would be great.

Well, tomorrow is today & the day is pretty much done. Don't keep us in suspense!

I learned to witch Underground conduits and water pipes Using two pieces of #4 solid copper

The update is they hit water at 197 feet but only 2 gallons per minute. I was hoping for 5gp as we live in a heavy limestone area. 1/2-2 gpm is average for this area. At this point I'll combine my two wells and hope for 4gpm. I may add a rain water cistern later. I humbly appreciate all the prayers and words of encouragement. Thank you all.

Agreed.. WTF is that. 6" steel casing here, 185 feet down and 30 gallons a minute on any day. I fill our 20 x 42 pool from our well.

I was looking through YouTube videos for a good example of how it's done and I couldn't believe how many are acting like it's some kind of mombo jombo. They are talking to their L rods, asking them questions and so on. It's pretty funny with some of them. The vid I posted is more like how it works. There was one gentleman who has been doing it for fifty years and is pretty down to earth about it. With practice he has been quite accurate even being able to tell how deep the water table is. He claims that 10% of men and 90% of wemon can do it. Lol

I think it has to do with the amount of energy that's in you system, as in electrical energy. I worked in the maintenance dept at a hospital and we had a very sensitive multimeter for checking current drain in computer controlled equipment. Fooling around one day I discovered when touching both probes I could get a reading on the meter. Only one other coworker could do the same but no one else could.

Is your multimeter a digital? Seems like I've registered slightly some time back but it was a digital and mine is a 45 year old analog.

It was a special piece of equipment that measured millionths of a nano volt (I made that up) but it was real sensitive. We even had to check patient's electrical items like razors and hair dryers for voltage leaking before they were allowed to use them and we used this meter/device for this also. Sorry I don't remember what it was called anymore.

It doesn't work that way!

You can't use a bottle of water and see if it works. Using L rods or a peach tree limb (and the tree limb isn't a favorite) they pick up on a vein of water deep in the ground, along with metal objects under ground. That test was even bunked by the old guy stating it was done all wrong.

We're not going to get into religious beliefs Steve. That was some rude comments you posted whether you are God fearing or not.

Well. The way I heard it from my parents, divining water was used a lot, and it worked depending on the person who did it. They used some kind of rods and some were very successful. If this were back in the 50`s and to the 70`s I could give actual people to talk to, but they have passed on.

My 80 year old F-in-law has witched every well he's ever had drilled, including mine here (30+ GPM at 185 feet). He hasn't missed yet. Wife's cousin can also do it...

I'll encourage anyone to just cut a couple of wires and try it. It's not hard to do, just hold them loosely in your hands, level with the ground and take a walk around your yard. When they cross you'll start to think what's underground. Then it will hit you, it's your septic tank pipe, water supply line from your well, underground electric coming from the street, ect. If it doesn't seem to work for you, have your wife give it a try.
