Car starts, runs, andstops well, car idles nicely a bit choppy but idles good in gear holds good oilpressure hot and cold, doesn’t overheat even in town traffic, automatictransmission is full forward manual, car has very good street manners goodbrakes and drives nicely with power starring and is relatively quiet within thepassenger compartment with full exhaust. Car will drive down the freeway at 70-75 with ease and runs on regular pump gas, car will drive around in towntraffic without any problem, when temp gauge comes up past 200 flip theauxiliary fan switch and it stays around 190,
The car is dependable, drives nice sounds very mean, andcan back up its looks when you want itto, with the car in gear and your foot and the brake just idling, take yourfoot off the brake and slowly lean into the throttle, the car will acceleratevery rapidly to the point of being almost scary, when the teach starts to swingup past 3500 the motor really comes alive and the car stays straight as anarrow, the car will also boil the rear tires with ease, set the line lock, stand into the throttle and you arecompletely engulfed in tire smoke. The car is a very good example of awell-built pro street car, super cool engine compartment, fit and finish isnice, hood work is excellent ,all the handmade aluminum parts are exceptional, car drives nice and is as fast as it looks, not a docile everyday driver butnot a strip only car either. Gets lots of attention were ever it goes
The engine in this car could be removed and the blower partstaken off it, the engine would be a perfect and correct motor for a R code 1970or 1971 Chrysler vehicle ( hemi car) for a correct restoration, if a correctdated and matching number motor was needed. This motor has lots of life left init, runs very well has never been exploded, broken, boomed, or hurt, however itis a perfect motor for an r code rest if one was needed. Although the motorworks just as it should in the GTX it is currently installed in, it couldeasily be sold to someone who needed a correct motor (long block) for a 70-71 rcode car and an aftermarket all aluminum hemi motor could be installed in theGTX, it would be direct replacement and the newer motors are of larger cubicinch displacement and all aluminum, nothing wrong with the 426 Hemi in the carnow just an idea. car is located in pacific northwest, car has been gone through front to rear updated and refined ready to go, registered and clean title, 50k or close couldnt built it for the price.
