Proving My Mopar Street Cred... now prove yours

My first car, '73 Charger with a '69 440 and 4:10 gears, circa 1990 and yes, I started the whole black primer look! It was originally super blue with blue interior and black vinyl top. This is the only pic I have of it. I still have the engine and transmission from it.

BTW, that bone stock, 80,000 mile, poly 318 2 barrel 66 Coronet was undefeated on the street in the summer of '85.

Carefully tuned carb and timing with stretched advance springs.
Leaky single exhaust that got loud when floored abruptly but quiet when driven mildly.
2.94 gear with "poor man's "posi", air shocks with dual lines inflated unequally to transfer weight to the side with grip.
Extended pinion snubber and relocated leaf bands.
...also worn out front shocks.

I lost count of how many gm 350's I beat, some freshly built and most with 4 barrels.

Mine was pink and white!
So was ours. There was one other that was the same trim and colors in town that had about 40k citizens and the lady that was driving it parallel parked right behind ours one day. She came into the store and left before we did and got into our car and couldn't figure out why her key wouldn't work. Dad asked her if she was having a problem and she said 'my key won't work' and dad pointed to her car and said 'your key will probably work in that one' lol. Anyways mom also had a pink and white washing machine....popular combo back then I suppose.

I rent a lot of cars depending on where I'm working out of town.
One day I got in the wrong car in a parking lot after dinner it was very similar to what I'd rented.
I felt pretty dumb for about 10 seconds.

I don’t know what ‘cred’ I’ve ever had, but here I am a long time ago….and a few years later. Same car and I still have it today.
