Hey guys, when I drive my car at low speeds (under 15 mph) the car brakes fine but when I drive over that mph and hit the brakes the car pulls hard to the left. It has drums on all 4 corners and I pulled the front left hub off to visually inspect it. Everything looked good and I adjusted so both the front left and the front right hub had the same resistance when you rotated it on the jack stands, and the car still pulls to the left. Could this be the caused by a faulty brake proportioning valve?
Any help is appreciated, this is for a 70 roadrunner 383, thanks!

With the car in the air, have someone apply pedal pressure and try and spin each front tire to see if each side is providing equal force. Might need to bleed one side. Also, how are the rear brakes? Are they both adjusted equally?

Leaky whl.cyl. putting fluid on the shoes? Loose struts, frt. end, etc.

There are many reasons why this could happen, but, if there's no air in the lines and the adjustment was done correctly you have to consider other factors. You can try to adjust a good balance between the two sides but if the shoes on one side grips more or is contacting sooner you'll have a difficult time and on going adjustments. Simple things like the arc of the shoes to the drums being different or even stronger return springs on one side can complicate the issue. When I adjust mine, I adjust them up until the wheel locks up then one more click. From there I back off the adjuster 3 to 4 clicks and check the drag. If it's too much drag go one more click loose and so on but if the shoes don't match the inner arc of the drum, they'll never be even. Good luck!

Proportioning valve is front to rear, not side to side. Are the wheel bearings adjusted ? Is there any grease on the shoes ? Is there any impedance on the backing plate to the shoe travel ?

The wheel bearings are adjusted and there are grease on the shoes. I'll try to bleed the brakes tomorrow night. Thanks for the replys
