QUESTION FOR THE 727 TRANSMISSION GURUS

I'm working on a 1976 727 transmission can I use a 1968 727 valve body out of a HP transmission in a 1976 727 transmission? Thanks

I found out the answer, it is NO.

The rooster comb/wiper changed after 68 so you would need to use the later style wiper for the 69-up neutral safety switch. The 68 won't have part throttle kickdown or lockup.

Starting in '71 they added an opening in the case to accommodate the redesigned accumulator port in the VB.
