For a 69 Bee when putting the vinyl top trim back on (around the C pillar) is there supposed to be a sealant of any kind on the clips? Not worried about what the factory did, just guys' experience if this is a potential leak spot as I can't see what beyond the trim butting up against the vinyl exists to stop water from getting in.

Thanks!

I think it is a good idea to use some sort of sealant on any and all holes that fasten a clip or emblem to your car. I recommend 3M strip calking. A little on the stud before inserting it into the hole and clean the excess with wax and grease remover. Works for me and eliminates chipping the paint. Hope this helps.
