I was wondering if it is possible to remove the radiator support without cutting it out...

We are about to send the car out for some minor bodywork and paint...

We are going to remove the motor to work on it and swap in the MT and I figured it would make life a whole lot easier just to pull the motor and tranny out the front with the support removed instead of "up and out" over the support...

Thanks

not unless it was replaced in the past, factory welded into place.sorry.not too bad to pull the motor and trans as a unit.just jack up the rear of the car for added clearance.

Cool thanks for the reply..That may just be our best option....It just seemed odd of the number of screws that secures the damn thing in place only to find that it is welded in place...I will take another look at it and see what I can come up with...

67 Coronet is right...It don't bolt/unbolt in and out. You would need to drill out all the spot welds to remove. Tricky part would be making sure the inner fenders do not shift at all when the core support was removed, because those out of wack would mean that the fenders when mounted would be out of wack as far as alignment... Yeah, nightmare senario. I'd just deal with what you got.

Or just drop the entire front suspension, take the eng/trans off and put the suspension back in....might be easier to just pull the eng/trans with the hood off, kinda a 50/50 call.
