Check out this guy with his Ram 2500 pulling out a big motorhome in the desert. Amazing what a 12.5T winch with rope will do when used like it should be. Smart guy that does good work.

that RV/Motorhome diesel pusher driver was a dumb a$$
didn't know the clearance or his limits
had good intentions, but dumb, seemed like a nice enough guy too

That's a different place to mount a winch off the side

great thing, winches
& someone knows how to use them
& they (the tow rig winch guys) gave them $600
for them to tow it out for them, they do free recoveries

Check out this video he has with the wrecker he calls Hell Boy. Ram 5500 4wd on huge off road tires. He uses this truck a lot for off road recoveries. If this truck won't get to you, you're screwed.

I've got 2 buddy's with 8-10 yr old power wagons that have never uncoiled the winches. It's fun to bug em.
