We have at least four different kinds of burrs or seed pods that latch on to fur.

Sand spurs (can hurt like hell), half moon things, brown rice looking things, and green small BB looking things.

They all come into season at different times.

I'm kinda furry myself, so I can relate.

Sometimes on of our cats will come up and intimate- "I need you to notice this sand spur under my arm..." or the like. Sometimes they know it's uncomfortable, but you're helping.

You can get a warning bite and a purr at the same time.

so here's 2 of my 4 ducks the little girl in the sink has bumble foot so she's soaking her feet the big fat duck is her mate he's hanging out protecting his eggs there living in my Landry room as to help her feet heal faster ,

We have one of our 15 chickens with Bumble foot too. Doing surgery tonight. Cute ducks. None of our 9 ducks have ever had a problem with it, just the hens, usually one per summer.

I asked my dog if she thinks I should go out in the 100°garage or stay in the a/c and watch tanked(very cool TV show with the fat guy and the stupid one making fish tanks) anyways this is the look I got ,I agreed with her I stayed in !

Those look like a cross between our "normal" sand spurs, which have slightly shorter, but more barbs, and our "beach" sand spurs, which have more smaller barbs but one much longer barb. None are fun.....at all.
