K-SHE is the oldest rock station in the country, 55 years old. Back in the day you would tap on the window to the left of the door and they would pass the tickets out to you, he would be live on the air.

The old Crestwood plaza across the street from K-SHE radio. The picture is of the open air plaza built in 1957. I had a old friend I worked with, my dad's best friend, his family owned the land you see in the picture that the plaza was built on. They owned just over 2 acres and in 1957 were given 35,000 dollars for it after holding out till the end. They moved across the street behind K-SHE and the 66 drive in a new brick house and had money left to fill their pockets.

How & why did top attraction concert tickets go from $4.50 to hundreds of dollars each? Their price sure didn’t follow the inflation curve.
The most I ever paid, was to see George Harrison and Ravi Shankar in the mid 70's. It was right at 10 dollars and I remember thinking, I shouldn't do this! As for why so much, because they think they're worth it, whatever the market will bear. I saw ZZ Top in the early 70's at a drive-in theater for almost nothing, today you would think you were seeing God at a tune of about a 130 dollars. Not me, I'm done with that!!

You don't want to know what I paid for a pair of McCartney tickets 14 years ago.

This was the hobby shop, next to the grocery store we went to that I bought my models and slot cars. I was 8 or 9 years old. It was by the old mall that was taken down for the new development in this stretch of road.
