I have no idea what any of my current plates are.....
But I remember exactly the plate numbers of my mom and dad's cars from the fifties, because of those silly little license plates on the folks key rings. (Black letters yellow plate california tags)

I don't know my current plates either.

I only remember my mom's plate from the 70's into the 80's.

...and the best random plate issued I've ever seen- to my friend's 70 year old parents. "F69 UME"

I don't normally like custom paint on a Mopar, but that's pretty cool.

I've actually thought about painting my Dakota (which is the same color as the bottom of that Coronet), in a similar scheme, however a black hood and roof in FL......
I'm not really into it either. The work involved is what I enjoy the most. It never has to be to everyone's liking in order to appreciate the work that goes into it.

A friend owned a dealership and would constantly pick one new car or truck and do some kind of paintwork to it. He did a Chrysler 300 once and I loved it. The car was a dark gray to start with. He painted from the top of the fenders down black. It was masked off so as to leave the inside of the doors and the openings the dark gray. The trunk, roof and hood, inside and out, being dark gray still looked outstanding.
