Most kids Dream Book was the Sears Christmas catalog, my Dream Book was the Gratiot Auto Supply catalog. I built many cars in my head with that catalog, I think I still have it packed away somewhere.Gratiot Auto Supply in Detroit. This is where most of the guys in the London, Ontario went to buy their "go-fast" goodies in the late '60's and early '70's. About a 2 hour drive down the 401 Hwy. and through the Detroit tunnel. The brave (stupid) guys would try to smuggle their purchases across the border, while most of us just declared them and paid the duty.
