Didn’t Chrysler have trouble with those 4-valve heads?
They shredded timing belts. My friend had one and was a employee of a Chrysler dealership. Upon the third timing belt failure he brainstormed with the service foreman. They decided to change the valve springs to turbo II parts. Car ran great and never shredded another timing belt.

It's a shame as many of these became lemon buy back cars and met an early demise to the crusher.

Nope, that's only enough for 12 hardtop or 6 Coupes!
Are you going to reshape the ends slightly to match original like Chrysler made back in the 60’s? I purchased factory correct part numbered ones, can’t remember how long ago. Used my original ones from the 60’s.

They didn't have "trouble" with the lotus heads. They, unlike the 8v sohc 2.2 and 2.5 turbos, were interference motors. Break the belt, bend valves. The sohc motors were NON interference - break a belt....just time it up, replace the belt, and back on the road.

They didn't break any more belts than any overhead cam engine (unless they were installed wrong) - the "problem" was all the other damage if you did break one.

I had a spirit r/t. 30psi boost. 3bar MAP sensor. Aftermarket adjustable cam sprockets. Dual core intercooler. 52mm throttle body, up from 46mm. 2.5" exhaust. 60 trim turbo up from the stock 42. +30% injectors. EASILY 350hp, stock timing belt, stock timing tensioner, stock A568 transmission, stock cv axles, Centerforce clutch. Zero problems. I only sold it because parts became unobtainium, but DAMN was it fun.

Say what, these are EXACT duplicates of what came out of my doors !

From my experience and the experience of hundreds of people that I knew, yes the 2.2 turbo was a suckers bet.
