Anyone know anything about 1955 Dodge C-series trucks? A friend has one but does not have the V8 emblem on the tailgate and was going to add it but was wondering if it was painted on or an actual chrome emblem, after looking at these pictures I personally think it was painted on…..

Edit: '54 V-8 and '55 V-8 might be different.

Painted seems more "proper" than a decal for that vintage.
