Rear end set up

Just my opinion,,,,, my cup runeth over! Lots to do so i farmed out my 8-3/4 diff. Made up some dummy bearings For the pinion , thoroughly cleaned all parts and took to vendor. He said we don’t use dummy bearings to set up the diff! I, not being a diff specialist, thought ok, they know what they are doing so I left it with them. Got it back and it had .045” back lash!!!! Called them and they said it’s ok, manual says otherwise!
Make long story short, do the things you may not have the time for or knowledge of, get into your uncomfortable zone! I redid my rearend and it works great, no problems.

Thats really too bad that the "experts" can't read the spec page!!!!Or maybe they can't read a dial indicator???? Our hobby has way too any of these "experts"!!!!!
