Was wondering what everyone else is using to cover the teeth for the headliner. This repop fits like crap! This car didn’t come with one so I don’t really know what it was supposed to look like.

Is the headliner crap, or the rubber cover?

I had OE rubber strips and they fit fine.

Repro headliner and it worked fine.

The edging is the problem. It’s hard plastic and I believe that it’s supposed to be rubber

Even the original needs coaxing to fit properly. A clean rubber mallet works well.

We just installed those repop ones, if it wasn’t for that large inside corner that they give you, there’s no hope. It’s hard to work with, won’t stay in place, it’s too stiff, and it only comes in black when we needed tan. Seems like the OE stuff was more pliable, although it got brittle with time.
