Yesterday I did about 140 miles in my 69 Charger. Car ran perfectly, I was extremely happy backing into my garage when I noticed my interior rear window molding hanging down acting like it was an accordion. I attempted to shove it back in place, but it really wanted to coil onto itself and simply would not stay put. A trusted friend told me it should stay in place without glue or adhesive, yet it will not. He also made mention it is the wrong color. My trim kit currently is black, however my interior including the headliner is white. Is my friend correct, should the molding kit be white? Even if current color is correct, I am wondering if this is a correct/proper component for my car. Any help, advice or direction as always is very much appreciated.
