Good morning,
I wasn't going to install speakers in my front door panels but changed my mind. Since my old door panels had speakers in them I figured rather then destroy a new set (expensive) I can probably rebuild the ones I have by replacing the backer board and reusing the vinyl. Has anyone done this type of restoration and if you have where can I get the materials to do this?

I like 1/8" masonite for the door cards.

I have a nice pair that has speaker holes. Worth using.

The coronet panels I had were bonded/ heat pressed/glued together..

Not totally apples to apples, but I redid these for my 72... Masonite from one of the box stores (I think Home Depot had the right texture on the back to match the OEM pannel). I used a 3M adhesive specifficly for auto vinyl and a box of short, flat head machine screws to reattach the upper metal backing with the door card.
