Those look so basic, not surprised if no ones making that exact wheel anymore. Don't take that as a dig at your truck in any way. My neighbor had a '78 brand new. I was never impressed with the wheels, but I could certainly could believe that it was indeed the quickest factory vehicle that year, and it certainly had some fat hoops from the factory. Anyway, best of luck, you are probably best off finding someone to replate them for you. They are for my Lil Red express that I am restoring and they do not make the wheels any longer. I looked on the Internet, but would like to have some recommendations.
Thanks
I'm a LRE junky. The wheels make the truck IMO. Best modern alternative is aluminum slots from US Mags. They look pretty close but are not steel obviously. Not sure where in MD you are but next time you get to Harrisburg throw a wheel in the car and stop at LiBrandis right at the Harrisburg airport. I can tell you it will not be cheap or reasonable, that's no matter where you take them. As @Dipstick said wheels are usually chromed then assembled. Take a look at your originals and see if the welds have chrome over them. I was going to get a set done and I guessed it would be close to $2k for a set of 4. If you get the spare done it will be more of course. That was a while ago, $750 a wheel is probably not out of the question. They are for my Lil Red express that I am restoring and they do not make the wheels any longer. @MD Mopar - Check this out, I got LRE parts from here before. He has some 78 wheels but might be a good hookup to get yours done. $1800 with no core is 'reasonable' IMO
