Are these Keystone Klassic wheels worth saving? Does anyone “restore / rechrome” these wheels? I bought the set in near perfect condition 1988 for $275 for my first car. They wheels cost me $175 more than the car itself. LOL. They are all 15” x 8” with 3.5” of backspacing. Note that one of the center caps is from a Raider wheel. I’ve always thought that was funny.

I would guess it would cost more than double to rechrome your wheels than to buy new wheels.

My last two chrome shops I had bumpers and tail light trims done at both stated they no longer would do wheels. As the number of rechromers decline I assume the more tedious jobs are canceled.

Scrap.

They are Uni-Lug wheels, just like the wheels sold today. The problem with re-chroming old anything
is that every surface you look at has to be smoothe and optically round so when the plating goes on,
you won't be able to see any pits or ridges. Buy new wheels and scrap these. You'll be money ahead!

Short answer is no. I think you can still buy those new. It's expensive enough to get a bumper rechromed these days let alone something as complicated as a two piece wheel.
If those were the original Klassics without the ring around the center then yes.

If you could send them to a chrome shop in Pakistan or India it would probably be doable and relatively cheap. But shipping would be a killer!
