I got the car up and running. I did away with the spade connectors for the alternator and red wiring that connects with fusible link. Bypassed amp meter and come the winter I will be pulling the instrument cluster to do a volt meter conversion....Thanks for the help

So the car now has not charging, I tried a spare voltage regulator and its charging now.
I need to know who I should get another regulator from as well as a alternator.
Ive seen these one wire alternators and would like to know were the green filed wire would now go....Thanks again

It wouldn't be needed.Steve. I recently switched my 65 over to a 70s style system with a 2 field alternator and electronic regulator and am very pleased with its performance.

Agree, the 70's style is the way to go.
