Replacement Clutch and Pressure Plate

I plan to replace my clutch and pressure plate while I have the drivetrain out of the car. It may be fine, but during my restoration pretty much nothing else was. I haven’t separated the transmission from the engine yet but will soon.

Anyway, Brewers or ? It is a 69 Bee, 383 and pretty much stock, not looking to go super high performance.

Z bar, pedals, etc all rebuilt and renewed.

Source recommendations and other advice appreciated.

You may want to consider a diaphragm clutch to gain a lighter pedal. As we age muscles fade.

Im pretty sure that is the right color if its a AC equiped car.

I just ordered a McLeod Street Pro for my RR from Summit.

I bought my McLeod for my small block from them.

I would talk to Brewers. I’ve been a McLeod clutch fan and I’m currently running 3 of them. But I have recognized some quality issues with them and had to return 2 for replacement. A friend with a 69 Hemi Roadrunner recently needed to replace his clutch and went to Brewers with the intent to order a McLeod clutch. However, Dan Brewer recommended he might want to go with RAM instead and he did. I helped him and it felt good in the car - nice pedal pressure. I’ve ridden with him and it seems very smooth.

I know for originality it's not good but wouldn't a hydraulic clutch work better for you guys?

Don't forget to surface or replace the flywheel...

My wife's Challenger has had a Centerforce dual friction diaphram for years. It's made over 100 passes on slicks. Never chattered or slipped. Car has run 12.50's. Personally it's the best clutch in any vehicle I've ever owned.

No it is the 330 hp version not the 335. Thoroughly researched. Numbers matching

I will also recommend talking to Brewers and going with what they recommend. I am also on the diaphragm style bandwagon over the factory style Borg & Beck. Just remember to remove the over center spring if you go that route.
