Hi everyone.
I own a 1973 plymouth satellite with a 318.
The carb is a carter 2 bbl.

Recently, i have been having problems getting the car to run properly.
I had old gas issues, which caused me to swap the tank, filters and fuel pump.
I also had the carb overhauled.

I have a problem with the car stalling in drive.
I suspect a vacuum issue or an improperly tuned engine.

My goal is to re-do the vacuum lines as they are quite suspect (brittle and patched).

I would like to start with the rear manifold vacuum source.
At present, I have this running to the firewall and the brake booster.
Should it also be running to the port on the passenger side of carburetor?
Where does the firewall vacuum source go?

I think the third port goes to the temperature operated bypass valve, which I think can be omitted. should I simply remove this fitting?
If so, i assume this should be routed directly to the carter carb? is this correct?

I think the full manifold vac line should be hooked up to distributor advance, since this is not a california car

Now, I will focus on the EGR valve.
Should i cap this off?
At present it runs to a line that connects with the front baseplate of the carter carb and a valve on the radiator.
The radiator valve is open at the other connection (2 ports).

I am guessing i could remove this entire run of hoses and cap the carburetor port.
Does this seem correct?
